Board met in Regular Session 7.30 p.m. in their Meeting Room in Abbot Hall

ABBOT HALL BELLS. No action was taken on a letter from Josh Burke of 19 Green Street Court as it relates to the ringing of Abbot Hall bells between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.
TRAFFIC & SAFETY. Letter from several neighbors on Harris Court as it relates to a previous request to add on-street parking to Harris Court was referred to Traffic and Safety. This letter was written in opposition.
MARBLEHEAD LIGHT DEPARTMENT. Letter read from George B. Snow, Finance Director informing the Board that the Light Commission is transferring $265,000 to the Town to be used against the fiscal 1998 budget. Selectmen St. Laurent will check with the Light Department to find out why the reduction from last year's payment.
LICENSE. One-day. Swampscott Rotary Club. Motion made and seconded to approve the request of Tara L. Cassidy-Driscoll, President of the Swampscott Rotary Club, to have a one-day wine and malt license for a wine and beer tasting fund-raiser on Thursday, June 5, 1997 from 7:00 p.m. to 10: p.m. at Tedesco Country Club subject to the usual $15.00 fee. All in favor
PERMISSION. Road Race. Tower School. Motion made and seconded to approve the request of the Tower School '98 Committee to have a walk/road race on Marblehead Neck on Saturday, April 25, 1998 subject to Police Department Approval. All in favor.
LICENSE. Amusement Device. Motion made and seconded to approve the request for an automatic amusement device license for the Sail Loft, Inc. to a 3-D Golden Video Game by Strat-O-Matic Vending, Inc., Serial # 40029. All in favor.
FIRE DEPARTMENT. Tax Exempt Certificate. Motion made and seconded to have the Chairman sign the Tax Exempt Certificate as it relates to the pumper being purchased from Seagrave Fire Apparatus, Inc. All in favor.
TELECOMMUNICATION ANTENNA. Motion made and seconded to declare the incinerator exhaust stack located at the Transfer Station on Woodfin Terrace, being no longer needed for Municipal purposes, and upon the authority of the Board of Health, available for disposition. The use restrictions shall include lease to FCC authorized telecommunication service providers for the installation of communication antennas and equipment. All in favor.
LEGION BUILDING. Motion made and seconded to declare the Town-owned building located at 44 Pleasant Street (Map 133 Parcel 47) commonly known as the Legion Building, being no longer needed for Municipal purposes, available for disposition. All in favor.
ABBOT HALL BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT. Selectman Purdin reported that the new lawn sprinkler system will be installed on the grounds of Abbot Hall on May 13, 1997 . . . Marblehead Landscape will do the installation. Motion made and seconded to approve this project. All in favor. Selectman Conly moved, it was seconded, that this project be done under the direction of Tom Hamond of the Recreation and Park Department. All in favor.
STATE STREET LANDING. Selectman Purdin extended thanks to the following citizens who have been volunteering their time and energy to beautify State Street Landing: Karin Martin Put Mace, Phil Blaisdell and Carol Haddock.
TOWN MEETING. Chairman McNulty reminded the citizens that Annual Town Meeting will be held on Monday, May 5, 1997, Performing Arts Center of the High School, at 7:45 p.m.
MlNUTES. Motion made and seconded to approve the minutes of April 23, 1997.
Motion made and seconded to adjourn. All in favor.
Meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
