MINUTES
April 2, 2004
The Board met in Special Session at 5:00 p.m. in its
meeting room at Abbot Hall.
Present (constituting a quorum):

Anthony M. Sasso, Town Administrator
The following persons were also present:
Finance Director: Bart Snow

Finance Committee members:
Eric Gilliland, Kenneth Taylor, Christopher Foley, Susan Patoski, William
Corbett, Steve Haskell and Jack Buba. Robert Ross was also present
as Clerk.
Anthony M. Sasso, announced that both the Fire and Municipal Employee
union members all voted to defer their cost of living adjustment
(COLA) effective July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005 at no cost impact
to the town.
Accordingly, budget items must be reconsidered to make deductions
for the savings.

Motion made and seconded to increase the following budgets:

Motion made and seconded to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 5:56
p.m. but reconvened at 6:00 p.m.
Additionally, Mr. Sasso advised that all (town) administrators
(included in
the town's general government administrative pay schedule) have
reached the
same decision to forgo the COLA increase. Motion made and seconded
to send
a letter of appreciation to all administrators. All in favor.
Motion made and seconded to extend the same raise deferral extended to the
Fire and IUE/1776 unions to the administrators, to wit: the raise effected
January
2004 to be deferred to June 30, 2004 at no cost impact to the town. All in
favor.
Motion made and seconded to adjourn at 6:02 p.m. All in favor.
